News flash:
It's not illegal to sleep or cook or basically do anything not specifically criminal in your car -- as long as you don't overstay parking limits (like overnight -- or 4 hours in a 2 hour zone even), and as long as you don't create a public nuisance or health hazards to the public.

I live in a van -- by choice. I love the lifestyle. I have income. I own several properties (that I rent to others). I am neat and clean and orderly and so is my van. To meet me on the street you would never guess I don't live in an apartment / house. There are quite a number of van-dwellers who choose to live this way.

I enjoy the finest real estate ownership in the country: almost anywhere public. I pull in at waterfront parks and open my doors and set out my camping chair and make oatmeal for breakfast with the sunrise, and a salad for lunch by a stream, and a fish and rice supper to watch the sun go down over a harbor.

Then I scope out a place to sleep overnight ... sometimes legally, sometimes not. But never bother a soul and have never been noticed, let alone hassled.

Been doing this for years.

Where do you wash? Where do you take a dump? What do you go for your midnight pee? I'm curious.

Lots of options. You could get a gym membership. Some are open 24 hours a day. Midnight pee? Find a 24 hour grocery store or restaurant and grab a cup of coffee. He has a van, so he could have a porta potty.

There are many secrets to "the Life"
All of them clean and fresh -- and simplistic and cheap / free.
One needs only first to be happy living without "stuff".

Think laundromats, health clubs/gyms, state parks, beaches, wide-mouth bottle with secure caps (for men, and with special attachment accessory for the ladies), washcloths and basin, and -- especially -- a bucket with seat and

Poo Powder - YouTube

I do also actually have hot water showers in my vans (that you would have to see to believe) ... and no, these are not a camper vans. To see either of my vans on the street you would think one a family mini-van ... and the other a tradesman's little work van. Completely stealth.

I camp (with my dog) sometimes on my own properties (including salt-waterfront acreage where I rent a couple of cabins) ... much of the time in the forests, mostly coastal ... and some of the time in the cities of the west coast. I also live part of the year on a small 43-year-old sailboat (in Hawaii). I am never grubby.

I am the American Idol (of freedom)

(Did you know that a person can watch anything anywhere in the same time it takes to watch tv? ... Ants, birds, clouds, sunrises, sunsets, traffic, frantic people rushing every which way trying to keep their lives from falling apart ... it's all quite a reality show.)

He probably uses other people's homes when they are at work.
I bet, all this time when you came home and found the toilet seat up, you blamed your hubby or boyfriend for it when it was actually nullgeo!

People need to stop worry about what others are doing and whether it is legal or not and focus on their own lives.
People like atina annoy me just as much as the ton of unnecessary bylaws they are passing out each year for stupid, trivial stuff like this.
