Hello-

I recently moved to California for work. I live in costa Mesa and drive to la. Yes I know it's a crazy drive but at the time it's the closest I could get. I absolutely love where I live but I'm wasting too much gas going to and from work. I need to be close to la specifically lax but not too close just not a drive like the one I have. What are some safe-ish areas that aren't ridiculously expensive. I'd probably be looking for a place on my own seeing as how I work crazy hours and don't want to disrupt any roommates.

Thank you for any help!

What do you consider "not ridiculously expensive"?

I don't want to pay more than $1200 depending what utilities are included, if any. Are my expectations too high?

Is that $1200 taking into account the savings you'll have on fuel?

It doesn't matter which utilities are included I just don't want to have a high rent and then still have to pay electricity, trash, water, etc. on top of the rent.

$1200 is tough .... I'd look in Torrance or Culver City perhaps.

But you stated, "I don't want to pay more than $1200 depending what utilities are included."

Ok let me rephrase for you then. I don't want to end up paying $1200 and then have to pay ALL utilities. Some utilities included in the $1200 would be nice whether it's water, trash, electric, whatever it may be, something included in the base rent price would be helpful.

Does that clarify it a little more?

Which utilities do you want included in the $1200?
