Are Franklin Village and Beachwood Canyon part of Hollywood Hills or Hollywood (re: "Mapping LA" boundries)? (Los Angeles: neighborhoods)

Wondering how debated the LA Times' "Mapping LA" boundaries are. They seem accurate as far as the West San Fernando Valley, where I am from, is concerned, but I am considering moving to a few different areas in Hollywood and I'm just curious what area FV and BC are popularly considered a part of, or politically if it applies.

That's a great question. LA mapping boundaries have been a controversy in many sections of the city and are not always correct. In fact they have added another layer of confusion in many neighborhoods. Because there are so many ways to map neighborhoods & districts, I would suggest to research the specific addresses you are interested in moving to on "Zimas." You can check the neighborhood councils of the address since they, depending on how active, are an earshot away from the councilman's office and usually place neighborhood planning high on their priorities. The specific "planning community" can also be found on this same site. As far as voting districts, you can find the info online pretty easily since there was a recent redistricting throughout the city. Overall, most of what you need can be found on Los Angeles Zimas Zoning info and is public information. Hope this helps....

I believe they are both in the same district as far as govt. Beachwood is Hollywood Hills and Franklin Village is mostly just Hollywood but parts are the Hills and parts are East Hollywood ( Which is also divided up between Little Armenia and Thai Town ).
