Sorry this is so weirdly specific. But I have a plush toy with a music box inside from when I was a child, and it has accumulated 30 years' worth of dust and grime and yuck. I think the bacteria have probably built superhighways and major metropolitan areas by now.

Now my 2 year old has fallen in love with it and gazes longingly at the high shelf on which it is located. I'd like to give it to her but I want to make sure it's clean and safe. I would just take it to a dry cleaner's or something, but I honestly think dirt might be safer for a child than some of the stuff they use to clean things.

Does anyone know a good place I could take this to get thoroughly cleaned in a way that will not harm its inner workings/the environment/a small child who likes to rub her toys all over her face?

NEVARRRRR! It's my darling! I even get a little squeamish at the thought of my daughter messing with it, but I love her SLIGHTLY more than I love this toy, so.
