I'll be visiting Pasadena next week for the NAWCC 2012 Convention (that's National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors). I'm hoping to purchase an extremely valuable and delicate clock. Since I'm flying in from out-of-state, I will need to have it packed & shipped, but I think I'd prefer to have a firm experienced with this sort of thing - not just the UPS store.

In an internet search, I turned up a company called Box City located very close to where I'll be making my purchase. They seem to be just the ticket - but I'm wondering if anyone here has had any experience with museum-grade shipping.

Anyone? Thanks in advance...

As far as I'm concerned questions about local services are fair game, relocation or not. It's good information and locale specific. That said, I'm not the moderator of this particular subforum.

I would ask at the convention or on their forums or Facebook page if they have one. They probably do this every day and should have a list of which ones to use or avoid.
