All,

I am moving from Chicago to LA in the next few months. I know nothing about LA, but am attending school at USC, and have informed that living in downtown LA will be my best bet.

Are you guys aware of any condo/apartment complexes with indoor basketball courts? I know that The Orsini has one, however it is quite "far" from the USC campus.

I am also trying to bring my healthy living to LA. How ridiculous would it be to bike from downtown LA to USC? I know that I can just bike down South Figueroa, and looking at google maps it says ~25-30 mins from the Orsini to USC, but i don't know if i can cover ~4 miles in 25-30 mins if there are a significant number of stoplights to wait for.

Any experiences?

Thanks!

The distance probably isn't the problem.. it's the personal safety. The area directly around USC is not a good one and while it does improve as you go north of Figueroa, I still wouldn't want to having a night class and making that ride.
