Space Needle costs $19 to go up and see that view. Hope the Wilshire can do better than that.

I totally agree that LA needs some damn observation decks. I remember walking into the AON Building (LA's most beautiful skyscraper IMO) and asking the guy if there was an observation deck. He laughed and said no. Granted, the revolving lounge/restaurant at the Boniventure Hotel is pretty awesome but, a lot of the time you are staring at the side of taller buildings. I hope LA NEVER EVER turns into NYC or Chicago (not an insult) but at the same time, it wouldn't kill anybody to build an observation deck on LA's tallest building...err, maybe not the best choice of words?

Also, I will NEVER refer to LA's tallest building as the US Bank Tower, it will forever be the Library Tower to me. lol

I don't remember what it's called but you can walk in off the street and eat there. That's what I did. Go into the lobby, take the Red Elevators up to the 35th floor and walk down one floor and there it is. The people are friendly and it has never been too packed the times I've visited. It is pricey though, if I remember correctly, a steak was around $40

Just watched a video about it. Looks amazing. Is it a high class place? As in, can a mere mortal go and eat there?

I did. Both times I have been I was dressed casual. My first time I was wearing a Laker shirt and some jeans and my friend was wearing a stained white T-shirt and cargo shorts. lol The second time I was wearing basically the same thing while my date wore a layered combo thing...I don't know what to call it. Both times me and the person I was with were "under dressed" by the restaurants standards and both times we recieved excellent service. I did look a little too casual but it wasn't an issue, in fact both times were simply impulsive. I assumed one had to be a guest there, though the issue never came up. I have never stayed at the Bonaventure but I have eaten there twice. I will definitely go back. Bring a camera.
