im pretty sure DTLA is very touristic in fact i am positive if its not self guided tours walking around DTLA staring at the skyscrapers or visiting around its Starline double decker bus tours and so on.

LA is always tops as the most polluted city in the country. The smog cover is extremely thick. I don't think a view of this from a higher vantage point would be a tourist attraction. I think LA is fine the way it is, distinct from the others.

if youve been to Griffith Park or anv downtown rooftop you will see despite smog there are beautiful views that will lure people in.

Exactly, it's a free market and they obviously don't see much of a profit potential there, but hopefully the Wilshire Grand tower will.

The views from the Columbia Center Tower in dt Seattle are spectacular. Much better than the Space Needle imo. Also the Texas Commerce Tower or whatever its called now in dt Houston are fantastic too. I can imagine the views from dt LA would be a site to see. I remember I was at the top of Wells Fargo Center back in 83 when it first opened
