walk or bike to Hollywood blvd., load the red line to union station, from union station you transfer to the gold line that travels to pasadena, and from there get a taxi to the Rose Bowl.

If there is a game on that day, taking the 780 bus would take a long time because of traffic when you pass Eagle Rock. All the streets, roads, freeway exits will be clogged with cars. Best to take the Red Line to the Gold Line and exit Memorial Park in Pasadena. You can probably walk there quickly in 20-25 minutes. Walk west on Walnut Street to Orange Grove to Rosemont.
