Please help with what you know!

We are moving to Southern California in the next couple of months and would like some help on elementary schools in Burbank, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, or other areas people see as having good schools. We are VERY open to where we will live, but the commute needs to be taken into consideration because my husband works massive hours as it is.......

My husband is already there working in LA and staying temp. in Beverly Hills....... I visited for 10 days in August and have to say if I were 10 years younger I would be shouting "I LOVE THIS!", but I am a 42 year old true Minnesotian and need to feel some sense of a unity/community at this point. WE have NOT sold our house in the East Coast area and therefore we will be renting. My husband will be moving offices to the Burbank area to the old Warner Brothers Studios...if that makes sense and might give you an idea of where he will be working. I have read alot of negative reviews on DONT MOVE HERE it SUCKS, but that is not an option and I need to remain positive!

I deal ALOT in funky, antique furnitue pieces and was thinking I could be doing that via EAST coast to West coast and the idea of the Antique/Flea markets....(like the Rose Bowl) appeals to me.

Our rental situation could be $3,000 - $4,000 and want to know where I can get my son a decent education, a sense of community and my husband a short commute. I will be visiting in October for another 10 days and any HELP in what worked for you and your family would be GREAT!
