Spring and Broadway in downtown have a great mid-century NYC feel to them which will only improve when they bring back the streetcars. Ktown and Westwood are the runners up.

Downtown LA is filled with alleys like this one.

It's funny, because while most people would associate alleys like this with NYC, Downtown LA actually has many more of them.

It's very likely that these alleyways have "played" New York in the past many times in film and lead people to believe that this is New York.

And they are not cleaner than New York. In fact many are dirtier. And I like them that way.

I would have to say that LA is dirtier than NYC, except the subways.

I've always felt 90% of the entire stretch of Wilshire Boulevard from Grand Avenue to the ocean is midtown Manhattan-esque.
