If you lived near the epicenter, it would not be "way too small." Maybe you've never experienced an earthquake in southern California when the epicenter of the quake was nearby.

I am 3-4 miles from this earthquake. I didn't feel a thing. Sure if it was 5.0 or higher i would for sure feel it.

A 6.4 magnitude quake in Western Nevada that was felt by Californians this morning. Not good.

I agree with you that it is not easy to define what earthquake weather is. I know there was a time when it was over 90 degrees in the San Fernando Valley in December and there was no earthquake.
