Hello all,
I was wondering if you guys can help me identify an area in East LA and surroundings where there is a relative balance (I know that absolute balance is a fantasy) between housing cost (buying price), safety, and schools quality. Now, anticipating your question I have to say that family's budget is in the 140k/yr range and we have a 3.5 yr baby.
Thank you in advance for the advises and I wish you a gorgeous weekend!

Alhambra or Temple City.

$140k per year is probably not quite enough to mortgage a house in South Pasadena or San Marino.

I would recommend looking for a condo/townhouse in South Pasadena. Great family neighborhood, with great schools.
