You should try Armenian pizza.

Go to Glendale, find an obviously-Armenian bakery, and ask for lahmajoon.

So I've been to 7 pizza places in the 2 and a half weeks I've been in LA.

Last night I hit the holy grail, Mother Dough. Simply amazing and the best I've had. Went to the new Wildcraft pizza in Culver City today and had a great convo with the owners that was all sorts of deep pizza talk.

I think I might get sick of pizza! But I still want to hit up Pizzeria Mozza, Sotto, and maybe Hollywood Pies. And whatever other places I discover.

However there are several places in LA that make a great Neopolitan pie. Be proud, Angelenos! Don't worry, soon enough I will make my way to the other great food LA has to offer.

Take in a Me-n-Ed's pie and let me know what you think. They started off here in Fresno and are pretty good by my lights.

I heard Pasadena is pizza-haven in LA, I only got the chance to eat at Settebello there. But it was to die for, as was 800 Degrees in Westwood. As good as what I've had in NYC.

The point is, LA can more than hold its own. This goes for other types of food, too.
Depends where in NYC did you buy your pizza, NYC and Chicago have the best pizzas in the USA, California pizza is nothing like what you find in NYC and doesn't come close to being delicious as the one from NYC

You only have one pizza to share back there in NY? How tough are the times back there?

You'd almost think no New Yorker has moved from NY to CA and started making pizza or somethin. You all do export flavors you know...

I'm sure it comes pretty close. You know, California? The biggest market in the US? I'm sure there's a few places out there that meets the demand for delicious pizza.

Right? I'm within walking distance of two pizza joints run by ex-NYers
