Disneyland is in Anaheim, which is in Orange County.

LA and the OC are one in the same in my opinion. We are linked in many ways, share the same market, and depend on each other, especially for tourism.

There's a reason why sports teams in the OC can get away with using the LA name.

That's fine, but the fact is Anaheim and Los Angeles are two different cities in two different counties.

Thanks. I've always been interested in the LA riots. It seems so... out of place for riots to happen in a country like America at all, but a riot that large and that lengthy is sort of mind boggling.

It's polluted, lacking in cogent urban planning, the culture is trashy and superficial, and most of the architecture is ugly and disposable. It does have nice beaches, however.

Where to stay to see it all? How long should one stay and how much should it cost? And how to get around?

Tell me how YOU would suggest that a young couple or a family enjoy a visit to your fair 'city'?
It depends...how long do they have, what's their budget, and, most importantly, what are their interests?

It's like someone took the most ignorant criticisms of the city and put them all into one post. Must be from New York...
