Husband and I are in West Holkywood this weekend. Staying in between Sunset and Santa Monica Blvd. We are in our early 30s and not looking for something loud and crowded. Looking for a bar that's walking distance and more low key, where we don't have to pay a cover, the music isn't overwhelming and we can actually sit down. Any recommendations?

Most bars on the Sunset Strip are pretty laid back. Rock N Roll Reilly's, The den, Isla Cantina, Red rock, chateau marmont, to name a few...

On santa monica blvd, its a lot of high energy gay bars, but if you go further east by crescent heights, the hudson and the new laurel hardware fit the bill

Red Rock has outdoor/big windows seating right on sunset. Great place to car watch & eye candy on the strip. Plus theres alot of options of live music within a lightening strike walk.
