Woodland Hills is a nice area. It is a pretty safe area and one of the best areas of the Valley. It does have more of a suburban feel..well as much as an area within the city of Los Angeles can have. People that live there are generally middle class or upper middle class. There can be traffic for sure during rush hour..but you'll mostly be travelling to to other areas too. Hard to live your whole life just in Woodland hills.

There are two Westfield shopping malls nearby and there is a lot of retail places. Also there are many restaraunts along Ventura Blvd mostly. There isn't a ton of great restaraunts and it's not really a "trendy" area to go out.

Beach is not too far taking Topanga Canyon Blvd down. Its like 12 miles , so its not super close either.

Woodland Hills is part of a big city (L.A) it's not it's own city so to speak.

Woodland Hills is very desirable especially for those that live in the valley.
