Can someone please tell me what a seasoned Executive Assistant in Banking or any other career field can stand to make in the Los Angeles area. From my research, the salary range tends to vary quite widely. Plus there seems to be a lot of turnover obviously in the Los Angeles area as I see a lot of job listings for Executive Assistant's. Any information is appreciated.

Silence is golden, but not required right now.

I am not in that career field, but I did notice a job announcement in the Los Angeles area with a company associated with the Entertainment industry and it was for $30K - $35K.

One reason for the variation in salaries is because the term "executive assistant" can mean a number of jobs, from glorified secretary, to clerk/typist, to office manager, to movie star gofer, etc. And the term seems interchangeable with "administrative assistant."

Depending on the industry (banking/finance, insuance, etc.) and your years of experience there is a range. Definitely a range between Admin Assistant and Executive Assistant.

Admin Assistant can be anywhere from $32,000 to $45,000.

Executive Assistant can be from $40,000 to $55,000.

Resurrecting because I see that there are a lot of jobs listed for this type of work. However just wondering about the high turnover and whether the salaries are just not high enough. Would love to hear from an actual administrative professional and their actual salary, then I would have something to go off of.

True exec assistants can earn anywhere from $60k to six figures, depending on the firm, workload, education and experience. The reason for the high turnover - firms want employees who are worth $80k and up, but they want to pay them about half that. Sometimes they want to pay $35k to support three different execs. Ha!

If you have specific questions let me know, been there and done that, still have lots of friends in the game.
