Or maybe not - no good dog would deal with jelly beans tartar. Gotta be medium-well, au jus. But he'll devour the pukey steak.

My first visit was 40-years ago (when I was a teenager ). But if you have a 3-hour layover at LAX and you want some good grub, it's a great place to go.

My son loves the prime rib specials.
I agree with your assessment of the establishment. But the owner is a great guy, having known him for several years, and he takes care of his customers. Once a friend held his retirement party there, and it was a blast!

Owner IS a great guy. The whole staff really is. Don't know if he was the owner at the time . . . long story short . . . my waitress was fired (wrongfully) in the middle of my dinner with a colleague one night, in mid '90s. Myself and my colleague called the owner to let them know what happened the next day. He thanked us for filling him in. A short time later, she was back and the manager was gone. Sadly, when my wife and I had dinner there, last year, we were informed that the waitress had still been working there, but had passed away recently.

Probably not. Seems to be a reference to an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode.

Truth will out, eh? Interesting story, and sad to hear of her passing. Will have to stop by again if ever we were to visit LA now that we relocated.
