For the hell of it I looked at the jobs on Craigslist in LA. I looked under "general employment", I saw a lot of warehouse jobs paying about $10/hour. That would be perfect for me right now, and believe it or not, a step up from my current occupation (slingin' pawn loans in crack town).

I'm actually in school to become an accountant but something has happened to me in the last few weeks and I have lost all my motivation. I've read only one chapter in one of my classes since the start of this spring semester. I'm beginning to think that I have finally just run out of steam here and there's nothing I can do to muster up any more motivation.

Some of my fatigue could be due to the antidepressants I take, or maybe my job has just left me very demoralized after doing it for 5 years. Getting a better job would probably lift my spirits and free up some energy. But as long as I'm looking for another job, what if I applied to some jobs in LA? I could apply for some bookkeeping jobs or general labor. If they want to interview me I'd just fly out there.

It would be such a dream to live and work in LA. Then I could finish my degree out there.

Since you're on Craigslist, did you check roommate opportunities? You'll need some kind of housing, and $10 an hour is not much income in L.A...

Why would someone offering that kind of job wait for you to fly in from Florida when his inbox is already flooded with qualified people who can start tomorrow?

They probably wouldn't call me back anyway.

Unless you have a serious career, you really have to move without a job. I'm doing just that this month. Nobody would hire me from Florida, so I have to just go. That's just the way it is.
