Wouldn't any hotel/motel rent you a room for a week or longer?
If you need something more like an apartment, consider Marriott Residence Inn, ExtendedStay America, Homewood Suites, Homestead Suites, Oakwood Aaprtments etc.

yes, they would, but it's very expensive.

i am looking for a hotel/motel that normally rents out rooms on a weekly basis so i will be cheaper for me.

thanks for the reply

Decades ago, I stayed at the Hotel Del Flores in downtown Beverly Hills. Then it was a decent, cheap, clean small hotel that rented out both nightly and residential rooms. It's still there, it still looks the same from the outside. I don't know what it's like now, haven't seen any reviews. You might check it out, but no promises. It's a good location.

If you go there, or to any other hotel, rent a room for a night first, then rent by the week. That way you'll be able to tell if the place is OK.

There might be possibilities for this kind of arrangement in Air BnB.

Post this query on the Los Angeles Tripadvisor forum board. Tell them what you're willing to spend per week, they may have ideas.

There is a place at 1818 N. Vine St. Hollywood, CA. 90028, and they charge $200. To $250. A week. And they let you bring as mmuch of your belongings as can fit.
So go and check it out .

it seems like 'extended stay america' owns many of the major chains that specialize in monthly rentals. do a google search and you'll see many identical looking websites (beside the point, I'm just saying)

is airbnb a little overrated. . . https://www.airbnb.com/
