I will be in Anaheim - pretty much right by Disneyland. And don't let me start an explanation of how this came to be but it is just happening this way..... I will need to get from there (it is not a hotel but actually an entertainment venue) to LAX to catch a flight that leaves at 1:40 AM Sunday morning.

I will be outside this venue probably between 11:15 - 11:30 PM Saturday evening. I would like to be at the LAX airport no later than 1:00 AM to safely make this flight. I am not driving.

Now there is a hotel about 600 yards away from this venue where I will have stayed Friday night.

Is a $120 cab fare my only option? Could a shuttle or car service pick me up and the venue or the hotel that late at night?

Let me know your thoughts - I will do the cab if its the only option.

One of those Super Shuttles would be cheaper but you need to budget twice as much time since you don't know how many people they'll pick up after you. I used shuttles as a broke college student but I wouldn't voluntarily use one now (Alaska Airlines put me on one several years ago against my will )

If you can leave about 45 minutes earlier, and are willing to spend two hours on the road, you can do this on transit. LA Metro runs bus 460 north from Disneyland. You'll need to catch the 10:42 bus, from the little bus station on Harbor right outside Disneyland. That will get you to the Norwalk Green Line station at 11:48. You probably won't be in time to catch the 11:50 train, but you'll be able to catch the 12:10 train, which gets you to Aviation station at 12:35. From there it's a short (free) shuttle ride into LAX, you'd be there before 1:00.

This is the best and least expensive option. It should cost less than $5.00. In fact - since base fare for LA Metro is $1.50 - it may be $3.00 for the entire trip.

I would highly recommend catching the 460 bus and transferring to the Green Line train.

You can also try to get a taxi to the Green line station like Norwalk and take the train from there. For a $1.50, Train comes every 20 mins and will take about 25 mins on the train to Aviation station then the LAX shuttle. Should save some money and get you on time.

Thanks everyone for your valuable responses, which took you time and effort - looks like if I want to spend a lot less money - I will have to leave earlier than expected - so I will have some decisions to make. Looks like if I want to go with Supershuttle - according to their site I would have to be ready at 10:40 - which is earlier than I want. They base that on my 1:40 flight time - I don't see why they could pick me up a bit later. How many people are taking Supershuttle to get to flights that late?

Super Shuttle probably doesn't know how many people will be on the van when you're booking so they pad the hell out of the schedule. You could very easily pick up 5 more people from god-knows-where after they get you which is why I swore off using shuttles off when I graduated college. IMO you have to be REALLY cheap to use them since they waste so much of your time.

I agree with Carlite's post 100%; that's the least expensive option.

And you don't have to leave any earlier than with Super Shuttle.

If I decided to cut my costs somehwat and take a taxi only from Anaheim to the Norwalk Green Line station - what is the best taxi service? Do they have one where you can make an appointment with? I would hate to be ready for a cab - and then have to wait another 15 minutes for it to arrive?
