Tay lemme tell ya. When you are in your late 40's you might wish you had em in your 20's. My BIL is 48 and my niece and nephew are 10 and 8. And they wear him out. Now mine are mostly grown, and I'm 43. Long as they don't start popping out grandchildren any time soon, I've got some free time.

I did find myself drafted for some soccer tournaments in Sacto and around NCA when my BIL was to tired to go on the weekends. So I drove my sister over.

Probably a nice house in the foothills or a houseboat on Marina del Rey.

Wherever I can live with minimal people, cheaply (yes, money is no issue but I choose not to flaunt, even unintentionally), in a larger, older home, with some trees, and cooler summers.

Where is that in LA?

Well, how minimal is minimal?

My answer to the OP's question is a question.

Is Hef accepting roommates?

That's a good question.

To answer the first question, as minimal as LA could provide. The floor being, nobody above me, below me, or sharing a wall, and not hearing cop cars all night (not because of crime, but rather noise. Hearing oldies, old school, corridos, banda, or norteña on weekend evenings is ok). Background noise is okay too, however (freeway, general city buzz, etc).

I can keep ya away from nortenos easily enough. (I'm to lazy to look up the code for enye).

Does it have to be LA? Or is GLAMA ok, or how much of the county can be considered? Not out in the desert?

I think north of Glendora up in the hills might fit ya. If'n ya squint at it ya might feel Denverish.

I said those types of music were okay.

GLAMA is ok, but I'd like in LA city/county ideas too.

I don't necessarily want Denverish, it is not part of the equation (I'm indifferent to it).

Was a small joke. Nortenos are the northern CA gang prison gang. /shrug Opposed by the surenos. Our locals the Fresno Bulldogs are independent of both.

Got ya some trees north of Glendora though.

Gotcha.

Somewhere between this, and this, without the lame attempt at semi-opulence.

You don't even need that many trees.

How about something like this neighborhood?

1726 E. Leaning Oak Court, Glendora, California 91741 | Los Angeles
