Hello everyone, I'm still in high school but since I'm not really interested in going to college I was wondering what are some high demanding and high paying jobs in LA nowadays that don't require a college degree ?Someone told me "be a firefighter" which would be ok with me since I play football and run track so I could pass the physical test but also I read that it's hard to get hired (don't know if true or not). What are your suggestions ?

At least get your AA.... Your at a huge disadvantage not having your degree, not being from LA and trying to live here being so young.

If college is an option then take it. Most high paying jobs require college these days. Skipping college to go right into the workforce will not put you a step ahead, it will just make it harder for you to get a good job.
Becoming a firefighter anywhere is tough because so many people want to do it and I would imagine that in a city as huge as LA you would have an even harder time getting in.

How about a Deputy Sheriff Trainee, one county up? Starting pay $32.31 per hour, pre-academy, and only high school diploma required:

You can forget a high paying job in L.A. unless you know somebody who can get you through the front door and then some.

Nonsense. Go to college if possible, finish high in your class and interview while still in school. You'll be fine.

Good majors - comp sci, business including finance, accounting.
