Hi, I will be moving to la county this summer because of my job, I will be working at Boeing long beach as a pm and was thinking about living downtown la and commuting to long beach in the morning. I would be driving at around 7ish in the morning. How will the traffic be? A lot of people told me it isn't too bad since I will be going in the opposite direction of traffic. Thanks for your input.

in the LA area, it's almost always best to live as close to work as possible. LB is a great and underrated city, so i would check out that area before deciding on downtown LA.

. . . and your return commute at afternoon rush could be what kills you.

Best to live closer to where you work. Unless the Blue Line is of great help to your LA to LB commute, it might be a mistake to do the drive commute.
