1. santa monica pier with but with an incorrect perspective of downtown LA in the background.
2. downtown LA
3. looks to be mulholland dr above the hollywood bowl (also with downtown looking absurdly closer than it is in real life)
4. unsure
5. wind farm outside of tehachapi or palm springs, probably tehachapi
5. could be anywhere, but probably industrial downtown LA near the river.

Since it is a video game they probably did not want to re-create the minutea that is East Hollywood-Westlake and the Westside (i.e. endless blocks of apartment buildings / single family homes without major landmarks) - it's sort of like if Los Angeles was shrunk down to the size of San Francisco. I think it is pretty cool.

Could #4 be Castaic? I can't tell if that is just a river or a river leading up to a reservoir.

Shows how much I've been paying attention. I literally got out of video games after beating GTA IV. Those screenshots look sweet, definitely has my interest.
