I am a recent college graduate, and I am curious how is the job market in the LA area for entry level applicants? I have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Economics. Could I get a job in the Finance field? I would like to become a financial analyst. What level of difficulty would it be to get a job and would it pay a decent wage?<img id="ums_img_tooltip" class="UMSRatingIcon">

Yes, you could get a job in the Finance field.

What do you mean by "level of difficulty"?
What is a decent wage?

Level of difficulty meaning can I land a job in 2 weeks or would it take 6 months or more?
As for decent wage, you tell me. I am still not too sure what a good wage is or should be in LA.

Don't expect to land a job in 2 weeks. I did, but it is certainly not the norm. Especially for a field such as yours. Plan to have several months of savings.

I am in a different field, haven't moved to the area yet, but already have a job. I applied at a hotel (same brand I'm currently at), the AGM called me for an interview. I explained I was going to be down at the end of March to visit a friend and was told to stop by for an interview while I was in town. I was offered the position even though I said I wouldn't be down until summer. Was told that was fine. I couldn't go more than 2 weeks without a job as I will have bills to pay in my home state for 3 months after I move since I will be leaving my mom and son in our hometown for the summer.

I'll bet a million other people have the same credentials. I think your best bet is to use your school's resources.
