That's pretty cool...and the dude is still skinny! I love to try new places all the time too, but a variety of different food.

I liked the story, very California in terms of his background and love of food.

The writer really enjoys dim sum and Hong Kong style restaurants. I have a spot in Rowland I like for dim sum, but I should probably venture out to Rosemead or Alhambra soon.

This story is great as I never heard of him before. His list of top 10 is very interesting and duly noted for future reference.

I am watching Anthony Bourdain's "Koreatown" (Parts Unknown Series) right now. A fitting complement to this story.

I Love LA!

I wonder if he also occasionally goes to non-Chinese restaurants.

I can't imagine eating the same style of cuisine everytime I went out.

i heard about him on a foodie podcast... He says Vancouver has the edge in true over-the-top Hong Kong-style gourmet restaurants, but the diversity of mainland provincial specialties offered in the SGV can't be beat anywhere outside of China itself. Myself, i love dim sum, but i'm not too crazy about other meat/poultry dishes because they tend to use the grisly parts of the animal, and include shards of bone.

Honey Boba is just a couple blocks down the street. Why drive all the way to Half and Half?

I actually prefer Honey Boba much more.
