So, if I were to wind up moving to LA, which city/area is the best choice for the three things I listed? I can be happy anywhere where I feel I have some nature and a little quiet. Nothing "backwoods" mind you, but lots of trees and parks. My friend is saying South Bay. I was thinking closer to the mountains. I'll be visiting this year, but just curious in the meantime.

The beaches and coastal areas usually have cleaner air, while the inland areas will not. The hills have greenery in the winter months and the vegetation will turn brown in the summer. The South Bay beach cities (Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo) are nice areas to live.

Thanks! My boyfriend's sister lives in Hermosa, and she loves it. I appreciate the input.
