Well I've been using padmapper and have found a few places...

Not neccessarily looking for an "oh that's nice!", but more "you're in the right area". If you don't mind checking out the locations on some of these and let me know if any are in a less-than-pleasing area, it would be VERY much appreciated!

Those all look like solid choices, though Sherman Oaks would be my choice. The second Sherman Oaks location is awesome. Close to a great park, walking distance to Trader Joe's, quick bike ride to any kind of restaurant or bar you could imagine. And the mall right there is very nice.

The first one labeled "NoHo Arts" is probably your best bet. That's walking distance to the Red Line metro, so you'll be close to that NoHo Express commuter bus, plus you'll be near all the action (Laemmle Theater, Federal Bar, Cafe's, Live Theatre, etc).

If you choose North Hollywood, try to stay in the 91601 zip code since that's closer to the "urban lifestyle." The other "NoHo" ones you listed are a little less urban and pulled away.

The Sherman Oaks ones will require you take the 405 freeway, which is basically the worst freeway in America. I'd say stick to NoHo so you can take the 170, which runs parallel and goes much faster. Or even if you want to do the easier commuter bus, that also makes more sense.
