Does anyone know about Toluca Lake area? Would this be a nice area to live. Entertainment? Restaurants? Pros/Cons? Thanks!

Toluca Lake is fabulous. It is adjacent Studio City, which has many upscale restaurants+ shops as well as actual studio services, like recording studios, editing houses etc, and Universal City and the Burbank Studios, the real workplace of the film/television business (not Hollywood.) The residential part is the hillside area, the commercial part is north down the hillsides into, technically, the San Fernando Valley. The 134/101 freeway, the major east/west corridor of the S.F. Valley, is easily accessed alongside the whole area.

As this nice area is advertised as "studio close," they sort of expect a studio salary to afford these homes. There are no cons to this area except affording it. I also hope people know that the boundaries for different parts of L.A. are invisible (no open space between areas.)

Toluca lake, great area, a bit pricey. Low crime rate as Burbank Police cover the area. Studio City has a large gay community FYI for those who are homophobic.
