Hard to say who is considered "Bigtime" stars so I'll just list whoever I think is special. I'm really bad with names, and spelling so I apologize in advance.

I've had the pleasure of helping Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson), Harry Sheer (I think that's right...he's the voice of Mr. Burns, Flanders and more on The Simpons), Sinbad, many porn stars, and some soap stars while working at Linens N' Things.

Other random celebrity sitings include: Alex Baldwin and his daughter, Drew Carey, Ryan Styles, Collin something (the bald guy from Who's Line is it Anyways), Robin Williams (in SF tho), many players form the LA Kings, Jack "the man" Nicholson, Chick Hurn (may he RIP), most of the members of System of a Down, Norm McDonald, Ben Stiller, Jimmy Kimmel, Jessica Simpson, Vana White, and probably more.

I usual find the celebs to be really nice as long as you don't act like a screaming fanboy/groupy.

usually celebs are extremely nice.... it's their C-list friends and assistants that think they're on top of the world.

Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams) used to live behind me when I was growing up. On a couple of occasions, I stopped by to talk with him and he came to the door and chatted for a while. There were also several Halloweens when I went trick-or-treating at his house. He was very nice to us kids in the neighborhood.

I've seen numerous other celebrities in my travels, but most of them I could not name, because I only know I've seen them in something, but never knew who they were. One exception is Sarah Jessica Parker. I saw her sitting by herself in a bar in Burbank many years ago, and I remembered seeing her in a movie, but could not remember who she was at the time. A short time later, her friends returned to the table she was sitting at. It was several days later that I remembered who she was and where I'd seen her. At that time, I had only seen her in "Honeymoon in Vegas."

I've probably seen more celebrities than I realize, since I haven't watched TV regularly in years! This is a fun thread; too bad I don't have anything to contribute!

Lots of people. Some big...some not so big..

-Dom Deluise at a Ralphs in Santa Monica (across from the Water Garden, very good super market)

-Clarence Gilyard at Edie's Diner in Marina Del Rey. This was back in the 90's when Walker Texas Ranger was on, I use to watch it sometimes. The show was on saturday night, and I think I saw him on a friday night, it was interesting.

-Fred Durst on the promenade, got swarmed by people.

-Different book signings...Goldie Hawn in Beverly Hills, Bob Hope in Century City.

-Different movie premieres in Westwood. Batman and Robin, Saving Private Ryan, a Harrison Ford, Michelle Pfiffer movie I don't remember the name of.

Saw Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Speilberg, Mike Myers, Sally Field, alot of people go to premiers.

Another good place to see celebrities use to be the SAG awards down near USC. Much smaller than the Oscars, less hassle. I went once in 97 or 98, you could just walk right out near the limos and up to the bleachers. Saw Tom Cruise, before he went crazy, a bunch of ER cast members, Kevin Spacy.

I dont know if its even held down there anymore, or if security has changed.

Would like to see Jessica Alba or Christine Taylor, Stillers wife.

It's ok Sandy! I don't watch TV much either. i will when they bring good shows like X-Files back

There are so many big names that I have heard but I honestly don't know who they are or know what they look like.

Grizzly Adams?!?!?! I'd love to meet him! He lives in L.A.??? I know it was only a TV show but I seriously only see him living in the mountains.

Jack Nicholson?!!! My wife is in love with this man! She said thats in her top 10 things to do, meet Jack. Hope she don't mean "do" Jack hahaha! She said she heard he's not big on publicity though.

I met Lemmy Kilmeister from Motorhead in Chicago and also the singer and guitarist from Disturbed and tons of Death Metal musicians. They are probably the coolest artists I have met, really down to earth and they give you tons of free stuff.

Honestly I really like to SEE the stars, but i don't have much interest in meeting them unless I could actually sit down and have a real conversation with them. Human to human, not gawker to idol.

I love reading these, keep em comin!!!

(Anthony Keidis, he would be cool to meet too. Rags to riches story there for sure)

Encino Barnes and Noble - John Wooden, Dan Goodman, Chuck Henry, Ice Cube, Dan Inosanto, Roy Firestone, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Paulina Porzikova, One of the Klitscho boxers.

Sherman Oaks/Studio City Starbucks' or Rest. - Britney Spears, Dick Van Patton, Alexi Lalas, Slash, Heather Locklear, Juliet Lewis, Barry Bonds, Derek Fisher, Magic Johson, Alec Baldwin, Larry King, Tommy Lasorda, Tommy Davidson, Whoopi Goldberg, Larry David, Roselyn Sanchez, Seal and his wife, Ellen and Portia. OMG Portia DeRossi. Wow.

Hahaha, like you, I rarely notice people who are famous, cause thats just not how my brain operates. Usually someone says "HEy! That's so and so!"

In which case, sightings are easily on a weekly to monthly basis. But sightings and actual encounters are entirely different IMO.
