I was wondering this the other day, couldn't really find any recent data about it so I ask the city data community, do you think there are more Armenians or Iranians in LA? Does it differ between the city of LA, Metro LA and The Greater Los Angeles area? I went to school in The San Fernando Valley and there were a lot of Armenians there, hell that's where I learned what Armenian was so I'm more inclined to say Armenian, but that's just where I've been, I've spent little to no time in West LA in my life and I hear that's where a lot of the Persians are at, then again a lot of those places broke away from the city of LA didn't they? Maybe that just means they're more prevalent in the LA area but we got Glendale and Burbank for Armenians so I don't know.

What do you guys think who's more prevalent in the city limits and more prevalent in the area, Armenians or Iranians?

And in Hollywood, the opposite. Especially in Central / East Hollywood.

I lived in Beverly Hills when younger and it felt like 1/2 the students were Persian. Mostly Persian Jews.

In Glendale there are a lot of Armenians and in North Hollywood as well.

Persians seem wealthier, more 'old money' than Armenians in general.

there's definitely an east/west divide between the two groups. as for the san fernando valley, where i live i see more persians, but there is also an orthodox church in the area as well.

No one knows the exact numbers of each, even the census, but probably pretty close. Lots of Persians in the Westside, mainly Beverly Hills and Westwood, and also the west san fernando valley, like Tarzana, Woodland Hills, and Encino.

Armenians are common in Hollywood (east Hollywood especially), and the east san fernando valley, like North Hollywood, Glendale, Tujuna/Sunland

Persians are wealthier and more assimilated... lot of Armenians are recent immigrants and have low end jobs like cab drivers
