Pretty cool. Compton has improved a bit lately, hopefully she can continue to change it for the better. I feel bad saying that I hadn't heard of her til now. :-/

Wish Aja Brown the best of luck in trying to salvage Compton. She'll need it.

Maybe proclaim Compton the new trendy Tech hub .

I can just picture the hipster transplants bragging to their friends that they work in Compton.

Hey it's working in Detroit ...despite their many problems their downtown area is booming. Many new tech startups there. Kind of play off on the Compton hustler mythos. What hipster transplant that comes to L.A doesn't imagine that they are "hard" for living in L.A ...they'd get way more "streetcred" for living in Compton than some gentrified place like Silver Lake.

I'm not pro hipster...but hipsters spend $, they can really get the economy going;

See: Echo Park, Downtown LA, Williamsburg ,etc etc, etc . What other demographic will overspend on food, clothing and pay way too much for vinyl records that you can't give away at a garage sale?

Since Compton is a relatively small area versus City of L.A , I think some really innovative things could be done.

It needs some more bars for sure. It seems like when you do a search in Yelp only places that come up are in Long Beach..but that can all be changed.

Since when is it easy? Since when is anything easy?

Anytime someone wants to go for something there's always one person going "Oh it's not easy..." or "Oh competition is high" or "Oh I hear that's really hard"
