Well, I grew up across from a city park/elementary school and every year the leaves turned and fell, the air got crisper and wind blew stronger. But I guess that never happened.

Seriously, the world tilts on its axis. Everywhere there are seasons. If an individual can't tell the difference that's not geography's problem. The mirror is the only place you can complain to. And I guess C-D.

Our three wettest months are March, February & January in that order, and we get just over 15 inches of rain per year, as opposed to 22 inches for SF, 36 for Seattle.

Annual rainfall totals of 55-60+ inches of rain are common various cities throughout the Deep South, including almost 65 inches in Biloxi and over 61 inches in West Palm Beach.

Autumn and winter aren't all that different here in LA, although temperatures have been known to soar into the 80s between Nov. & March.

Liquid Amber, Crape Myrtle, Chinese Pistache, etc... will drop their leaves and change color anywhere in California.

Sometimes I hear people on CD asking how can you live somewhere with the same boring weather year around, when we know that's not true at all.

Fall in SoCal is a great time to head to the beach-the water is still warm enough to swim and the heatwaves are abundant!

Actually, the rainiest months in L.A. are February, January, and March, in that order.

Climate in Los Angeles County, California

I can really only tell it's autumn because the days are noticeably shorter (and I get up and go to work in the pitch darkness at 6:30 until we change back to standard time!). Autumn here is definitely less dramatic and interesting than in other parts of the country.
