Plenty of people walk. That's one of thise stupid yuppie sayings by those who misyake West LA for the rest of LA. Apparently that large immigrant population that uses public transportation and crowds the streets near Westlake are just invisible to them.

Another one of my favorites is, "no one is from LA", pretty much ignoring the huge Mexican American and Asian Americans born and bred here.

Ignore his/her sarcasm. Point is, walkers in LA abuse the pedestrian traffic laws under the guise that it's California and you have to yield to them no matter what. They can be inconsiderate jerks and you just need to deal with it because no one will ever ticket them.

First I've heard of that. It's the other way around.

I've said this once before, but some of you should check out some NYC cabbies if you think LA's got bad drivers.

That's exactly right.

That would be relevant if we all lived in NYC.

There is also the question of whether bikers are getting more inconsiderate , mostly the ones that travel in those big packs with hundreds of bikers. Couple of weeks ago leaving the Dodger game I encountered them while driving and they were pretty obnoxious and riding their bikes all crazy. It made me nervous because even though I was stopped I thought one might run into my car.

Are people on motorcycles allowed to drive in between cars at full speed on the highway? I get conflicting answers from people when I ask.

If so, that just seems dangerous.
