My girlfriend and I are looking for a good place to live between Burbank and Marina Del Rey, our two work places. What would be some places that would split the commute most evenly between us?

Thanks!

I live in Mid City West near the Grove and love it. That might be a good compromise.

You could also try Sherman Oaks.

In my opinion, to make the commute times more even, you are going to need to be nearer to MDR. The commute headed west is going to be a lot worse - assuming normal commute hours. I live in SaMo and commute to Burbank regularly and it's not awful (though whatever they have been doing at the Sunset/405 interchange over the last few weeks sure has made it worse). I suggest looking at West LA/Brentwood near the 405 if you can swing it.

What's your budget?

That commute is going to suck for both of you no matter where you live.

I second the mid-city suggestion. Forget Sherman Oaks, that would be insane for the MDR commuter.

I live on the far east fringe of Mid-City and it takes me less than 30mins to get to Encino in the a.m. Afternoon traffic will be a bit heavier.

Takes me about 30 mins to get to MDR too.
