What do you think are the worst morning commutes in Los Angeles? I'll start with a couple.

1. The 405 South from Van Nuys to West Los Angeles

2. The 101 South from Studio City to Downtown

Anything that goes 'diagonal,' like Silver Lake to Santa Monica (what I call the Hipster's Lament Commute).

Any eastbound freeway (10, 210, 60, 91) in the afternoon. 101 freeway from Downtown to the Valley (and the reverse direction) almost anytime of day. 110 freeway through Downtown during morning and evening rush hour. 405 freeway from LAX to the Valley (and reverse) almost anytime of day.

I commuted every day, for two months, from Valencia to El Segundo. Some of the worst hell I ever experienced.

210, 10, 60, and 5 from the eastside of the county to the west, and the reverse trip in the afternoon. Horrible, horrible triffic jams.

605 north from Long Beach to the SGV in the afternoon.

The 5 to the 405 and that's it...but that takes you through 2 mountain passes, and everyone and their mother is driving South through the Valley, and the Westside, every morning. The same thing again at the end of the day, only going North. My nerves were shot.

5 /405 (unless you turn on to the 105) or 14/5/405/105
