I never understand the need for some people to try to "correct" someone who says that their favorite city is L.A., or L.A. is the "best" city.

We get it, you hate L.A. It's ugly and smoggy and expensive and there's too much traffic and blah blah blah. Do you really think it's your mission to "correct" the people who are happy here and honestly love it? I love L.A., faults (both literal and figurative) and all.

To the OP: glad you like SoCal! I've lived here for 17 years and have never once been bored or couldn't find something to do. And the best thing is, after all these years, I keep "discovering" something about this place that I never knew existed.

And yet somehow many people find it possible and can even grow their savings account.

LA is a broke dump filled with the homeless, crackheads and illegals. Then above Sunset its all rich *******s and escorts addicted to blow. You also have oceans and mountains plus rivers, lakes and waterfalls in Oregon too. a far superior state in every way except sunny weather.

All other cities are the same. Chicago, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, Miami, Boston, etc etc. they are all the same boring city with terrible weather.

LA has everything all other cities have and more, much more. Specially when it comes to environment. And THAT is what makes LA > all other cities in America.
L.A. often seems like a 3rd world Latin American country. Still like it though.

You just compared LA to an entire state. Can we at least compare Portland & LA?
