I see that sometimes people in LA resent it, and the media sometimes depicts this as well (the NYC-LA rivalry). What do y'all really think of the concrete jungle? Do you love it or hate it? Are you indifferent towards it?

Not my style but I respect it and see its appeal. Some of the attitude there can be annoying but its not entirely rampant

New Yorkers tend to follow trends based more on what is acceptable and safe.

While Los Angeles people make up trends and are fearless to continue onward.

And they are not as paranoid about terrorism like New Yorkers.

I had a better time in London and felt less hostility from its people, despite it being bombed by the IRA much more than what New York went through.

From what I've noticed they don't think about it as much if at all, but when they do it tends to be almost as though it's seen as a more important, greater city. I've heard a lot of Angelenos say that their friend moved to NYC as if it was this grand thing, when I always think to myself that LA is grand too, if not better in my opinion.

I personally think NYC is overrated, too cold during the winter, too during the summer, noisy and over crowded. I also cannot stand that cartoonish accent of theirs, it drives me nuts. Absolutely the worst accent in the country. Sometimes I think they're over doing it in front of tourists, cus I always think they can't really talk like that, can they?

Every Angeleno will give you a different answer. I don't like NYC - I've visited several times so its based on experience. I think the city is congested, overpriced, stressful, awful weather, not enough greenery, too compact, and full of rude pretentious jerks. Probably my least favorite major city.

I have loved LA all my life, but if it NYC didn't have such bad weather, I'd live in NYC in a heartbeat -- even if I had to live in a doghouse. :-) Preferably a doghouse in Upper Manhattan. :-)

There is NOTHING like NYC. (Well, perhaps Paris.)

It's just another city. That's about it.

I love New York. My biggest complaint would probably be the disgusting humidity in the summer. I think it's too expensive to warrant living there though.

What is it about NYC that enthralls people? I consider LA to be much more appealing, more relaxed and just as cosmo as NYC.

NYC really is an experience like no other. It's urban core is far superior to Los Angeles.
It's more of a traditional city in the sense it's compact, it has an extensive metro system. it's loud, noisy, congested, diverse, it's literally everything. Anything can be found there. Any interest, any batsh!t idea, anything.

Many people there think they live in the center of the universe. They tend to live in a bubble, much the wayy ppl from LA are too....

LA is more liveable IMO. Weather is more pleasant, it's not as dense, there's quiet in places, there's peace.....there seems to be no peace in NYC---it's frenetic pace allows for no peace, or calm. It's go go go go!!!!!!! ahhhhhhh
