During the summer of 2014, I'll probably have to drive M-F from R.C. to Norwalk for this grad school internship. Thank God it's only from June 9th through August 22nd, so 2.5 mos. I'll start off on the 10 west, then probably go to the 605 south to the 5 south, depending on exactly where the destination is.

If I have a choice, is it better to be at my destination at 8am & have to gruel through the regular morning traffic OR be there at 9am where I have a bit more time to let that traffic pass? Hopefully, I won't have to drive there all 5 days a week.

Any other tips or advice? Are there any nice shopping malls in Norwalk?

Sooner the better. I would choose 8am. Traffic starts picking up at 7:00am but usually still moving quickly. 8:45-10am is like crunch time. 10frwy to the 605 to the 5 sounds like a path I would take.

Traffic during the morning rush hour is heaviest from east to west and heaviest during the afternoon rush hour from west to east. It is better to be there by 8:00 AM rather than slog through the heavy traffic (especially on I-10 westbound) later in the morning.
