Yes.

I also have a problem with people that make a big deal out of the politics of an area which are usually the liberals but not always.

True to dat. I cant imagine myself being surrounded by a bunch of white republicans. That's why i prefer living in LA.

You are showing cognitive bias. Specifically the Base Rate Fallacy

There are more white republicans in Los Angeles than Orange County. So it sounds to me like you should move to Orange County if you don't want to be near ~500,000 more white republicans.

But white republicans are a much larger portion of the population in OC vs LA.

Most of the white republicans in LA county are in the south bay (which has lots of similarities to OC), long beach, the western sfv, and the san gabriel valley, particularly pasadena and san marino.

Most of this is true (not going to agree on the Pasadena part; although true in the past, since about 2000 this is not the case).

However, the prior posters saying they wouldn't want to live in LA because its full or liberals or not wanting to live in OC because of full of white republicans. This is just not a good reason when as you just pointed out, there are enclaves in both areas where one can find politically like minded people.

People are posting like the OC is Ted Cruz's toiletbowl, full of bible thumpers & right wing fundies. It's really not.

Yes, one has to add fake-tan, plastic cheeseballs and narrow it to South OC, then it's more accurate.
Ah yes, can't forget the cookie-cutters, too:

Better not be late for that HOA meeting - they might think you're...different!

OC = the home of the megachurches and the type of people who are attracted to that. That's anathematic to me, YMMV.

OC has over LA:

--Better and cleaner beaches
--More conservative
--Much lower unemployment rate
--Planned out subdivisions
