I am a conservative who has about had it with the Republicans...

I hope the Democrats nominate Obama because I like the guy personally. I think he has decent judgement and he is not a long-term Washington insider. I could never vote for him because of his leftest views, but we could do worse...

I support Romney. He is not without his flaws, but I would like to have a president who is a problem solver and a businessman. Plus, he is not a career politician.

I would never vote for McCain (waterboarding, campaign "reform," illegal immigration). He might have integrity but no one spends that long in Washington and still relates to average Americans.

One thing I keep reminding myself, however - the last time congressional Republicans acted like conservatives was when we had a Clinton in the White House.

That's because he's not "black enough" for them. Whatever that means.

America is more ready for a black or mixed race president than it is a Mormon president....

And calling people "stupid" for voting for a democrat. Do you then consider yourself rather intelligent?

I agree with you though the Public school is horrible and it is time for alternatives.
What redeaming thing did Clinton do while he was in the White House? I know he played around with the ladies a lot. Was that what you were talking about?

He never went after Bin Laden even though Laden's people bombed the World Trade Centers when he was in office. Maybe that is what you were talking about.

Please let me know what Clinton did while he was in office that benefited this nation.

You forgot to mention that America also contains plenty of racists from all races and ethnic backgrounds.

America still has many closet skinheads & rednecks. Obama would most likely get assassinated just because he has a dark skin color.
Plus Los Angeles has too many conservatives who would rather vote for Hillary. Based on that alone. Obama has had some mis-haps with the public already and the wealthier population of Los Angeles would not want Obama for president. Majority wise.

Yes, I am a realist.

Actually, Obama is backed and supported by some of the wealthiest people in Los Angeles and New York if you look at his contributions, especially from billionaires. Not that this really matters.

IMO, the United States is could be ready for a black president (isn't he mixed, btw?). The ones who say otherwise are the ones who have a problem with his ethnicity. Racism is overrated, Obama isn't the "stereotypical black guy", contrary he's more poised than his white opponents. Young people of all colors love Obama. I certainly do.

You claim to be a realist BUT do you have ANY proof a black President would be assainated in the U.S. ?????? ( don't use MLK either...)

BTW, Los angeles does not represent the entire state of California.......

Interesting thank you for giving this info out for me. Perhaps I am worrying for nothing, but Obama truly does not represent "A black president per-say" But I prefer him over to Clinton though!!
I have noticed that Obama is rather more "intellectual" then his candidates. I truly admire that!!

Obama and Huckabee win Iowa!
Clinton comes in third... ouch!

Obama will easily win New Hampshire, IMHO. I think the real test will be in South Carolina oddly enough, where the "black vote" (damn I hate that term) has some real influence. Obama will need the power of Oprah there. Funny that more black people vote for Clinton and Obama's voters are overwhelmingly white. That is so cool!
