It's really nice how kimmel resorts to taking an ancient cliche and uses it to make the rest of the country feel better about itself at LA's expense when it is the ridiculous media overreacting and not the real people of the city. Maybe it has something to do with his complete lack of talent?

Rain? Try like one hour of weak drizzle. Just barely enough to dampen the ground.

The other problem with rain in SoCal: The trees here don't have very deep root systems (because it doesn't rain very often), so when it really starts raining, lots of trees fall over and can block streets. Also, we get mudslides when we get a lot of rain.

Back in the days before I became acclimated to hot weather.
And Im the opposite-- grew up in the desert (10 years in vegas, didnt come to SoCal till the end of high school), used to think the extremes here were not bad, but now I suffer in anything not in between 60-85

BTW Hope you get more rain, but on a steady basis , CA .

Less rain / snowfall just causes future fire danger and possible mudslides - this from somebody who used to live in the high desert of the Mohave back when I worked @ ft. Irwin .
