I was with Extras Management and Central Casting for a couple of months, I was able to get some really cool gigs. But, a lot of it was primarily audience work and not many hours. I was just wondering if there are other and better background casting agencies that I should look into?

I did a lot of extra work in the 1990s, but none since 1997, my last year. Back then, Central Casting had a near monopoly on union extra work. A few union extra jobs were handled by Bill Dance, and a handful of others. But Central controlled over 90% union work.

Central's affiliate, Cenex, did a lot of nonunion extra work, though there were plenty of lower-end nonunion extras casting services as well.

I don't know how much has changed in the past 16 years.
