In case some of you are new in town and wondering, the nativity scenes are no longer visible at their long standing location on Ocean Avenue, because a few people were concerned that the Christian message of love would do harm to the community. Merry Christmas.

They never belonged on public property in the first place. There are plenty of churches in Santa Monica where a nativity scene can shown.

I haven't been following the latest but, last I heard, some lunatics defaced the previous displays. Should have been a hate crime.
