"Prescient", a prohibition era gay bar is in the process of renovating a building on the corner of 4th & Main. It should be open by this summer (pg. 26)

I thought that gay bars were kind of going extinct..or at least new ones not opening...especially in places like L.A

New gay bars do open. The gay bar scene is past it's heyday, though I'm sure there will always be some gay bars.
