Hi everyone, we are looking at renting a townhouse in Inglewood. The neighborhood seemed fine to me, but I wanted to get another opinion. It's on Beach Ave near La Cienega and Centinella. Zip code is 90302. Thanks for any feedback.

It's fine. You might see some ghetto, but the area is safe enough. You are close to shopping at Ladera Center. The Serving Spoon restaurant on Centinela serves up a good breakfast. You are also close to Pann's for chicken and waffles. Street parking is bad because of the density of the area and be aware of your surroundings always, the area isn't crime free, but even if it was very safe, always be cautious. Property crime in the area can be high (it's a bit higher on the west side of Centinela in Weestchester), so if you do street parking, make sure you keep valuables hidden.

Yup. BTW I go to Serving Spoon 1-2 times a week. Pann's is good too.

But yeah, area is safe. It's some areas more towards Florence that are spotty, such as near Vincent Edward Park...but this side is good.

Not really. There is a 7-11 on Centinela near Eucalyptus I think.

How about a CVS? Or a Rite Aid?

Can you guys define “safe”? Drivebys? Crackheads? Apartment burglaries? Muggings?Gangs hanging out on the corner?
I’m thinking about moving to Inglewood and the part ofBoston I’m in now I consider safe. But it has maybe about 3 shootings a yearand others consider it a tough area.

Around Ladera the only problems might be home and auto burglaries.

Its not the people in Ladera doing the burglaries. Rather the opportunists from other areas seek high value loot.

The main issues would be burglary (more auto, some home) and domestic violence issues.
