Hi everyone. Very helpful forums here!

Anyway, I am considering a move to Andrita Street in LA and I was wondering if this is a particularly bad part of town? You'll have to Google Map it to find the area, but it's south of Burbank and right near Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Thanks so much!

It's a pretty good area. It's actually in Glendale it looks like.

What's your price range and why do you like that area? Are you working in the area? If not, answer those questions and I can suggest some other places for you.

Yes it is!! I have a friend who lives there with her husband and child. I'm pretty sure it is in Glendale. Best of luck!

I'm moving because I went to school in NY for special effects and I want to eventually get into production. I'd like to live somewhere that isn't too far away from Hollywood, Studio City, etc etc.

However, it's also important that I don't live in fear when I go to my car, hehe.

The most I want to pay for rent is $1500, and that would have to be with a lot of really nice bonuses. The place I am looking at on Andrita St. is $1300, which is better.

I have a friend who lives in Van Nuys so i was thinking about that as well. I know it's typically a place that's looked down on but she has easy access to Hollywood, Santa Monica, etc due to her proximity to a few major highways.

Basically I am looking for a decent place that is located in such a way to provide easy access to the parts of LA I will hopefully be working in.

Personally, I think you may be able to find something better in other areas of town. Are you working in Hollywood?

Studio City is a nice area, but stay south of the 101 Freeway. Same with Sherman Oaks. Those I would check out.

Glendale is good too, but you should see if you could go a little farther northeast.
