Is there a specific group in LA that you notice does this? Ethnic, racial or gender or neighborhood?

Lifetime SoCal resident here. See my comments on your list:

The people are "fake" and "plastic" (not all, but some incredibly superficial people here. They disguist me. Why can't you just age gracefully instead of looking like a silicon cyborg?)
The only industry here is Hollywood and tourism (Only people in the "industry" feel this way. And since most of us aren't in it no one gives a **** about these people)
People here aren't educated (Statistically overall, this is accurate. After all, we have the highest percentage of welfare recipients in this state. Doesn't mean that we don't also have some of the brightest, most innovative people in the country as well.)
There are too many poor people (Yep, thanks to mass-illegal immigration)
Everyone who can drive, does; the only people that use mass transit are poor people (mostly true unless you're lucky to live close enough to a metrolink or other line that is actually convenient to get to work)
Nobody walks (People walk all over some of the more urban areas)
LA is suburban and "not a real city" (It's a real city, just a bigger, more spread out one. We have tons of real estate and we spread it out nicely.)
Its always smoggy (Not in many years unless you live against some of the foothills. Smog here is better than it has been in a long time)

Basically anything Ruth4Truth or mini_cute has posted about Los Angeles in any thread about SoCal.
I have also found that Ruth4Truth spreads other falsehoods in other fora.

pretty much everyone after they've been there for a while, unless they're a hardcore immigrant who refuses to learn english?

people in los angeles have a really annoying laugh as well?

it's funny that they're completely oblivious to all of this, it's just "normal" in their minds?

?

"L.A is a desert" ---> NO, it's not.
"It's always smoggy" ----> NO, it's not.

Those two kill me.

Thank you all for posting this. People in the Southeastern US, born and raised, think CA is a foreign country. I make mention of the fact that I'd enjoy the weather and think it would be a better social fit for me, and they look at me like I just proclaimed myself an atheist.

Which I'm not. NTTAWT.

I'm amused by the "LA is hot/desert" stereotype. LA is ANYTHING but hot.

Someone caught her admitting that she doesn't even live in California (she lives in New Mexico). What a surprise.
